NECYPAA Bid Requirements
  1. Three people under thirty-five years of age, with a minimum of one year of sobriety represent the bidding site, supporters may be of any age.
  2. Planning of the bid will be well grounded in the 36 principles of AA (Steps, Traditions & Concepts).
  3. Have in place a loose bid committee structure, consisting of a chairperson, secretary and site coordinator.  The secretary should keep notes of the planning meetings to be presented at the bid session.
  4. Bidders must obtain information for a mailing address for the conference committee.
  5. A site for future NECYPAA conference meetings.
  6. Arrive at a registration price.
  7. You must provide a concise statement showing the need for this conference within your area and a statement of support from your AA service area and district.
  8. Bring to bid session, a proposed date for the next NECYPAA conference (hopefully close to New Year?s eve).  Assurance must be given that no large scale AA activity will be held in the New England area or ICYPAA within thirty days before or after the proposed conference date.
  9. A commitment from the facility that your proposed weekend is available.
  10. Information for the site regarding coffee price, banquet price and room rate (two nights before and after the conference).
  11. Also, in regards to the site, we recommend the following: theatre style meeting space for 500, 150 guest rooms, 4 meeting rooms for 50 plus.
  12. The new host area must agree that all proceeds after expenses are to be turned over to the NECYPAA advisory council for their dispostion.
